Open House 2016

Open House 2016

9:00am - 9:00am

Mark Morris Dance Center

3 Lafayette Avenue, Brooklyn, New York — United States

This September 2016, we celebrate 15 years of the Mark Morris Dance Center.

A continuation of our year-round community engagement activities, Open House provides a free sampling of a wide array of programming, including dance and fitness classes for all ages and levels and performances of Mark Morris’ repertory by the Mark Morris Dance Group and the student companies of The School at the Mark Morris Dance Center.

In addition to free classes and performances, Open House gives community members a chance to meet and mingle with faculty and staff, register for children and teen classes at The School, purchase discounted dancewear, and enjoy free food and refreshments provided by local vendors.  Open House is an opportunity for everyone in the community to connect, dance, and learn.

“I can’t believe its been 15 years that we’ve been in our wonderful Brooklyn home. We couldn’t be happier to have made the decision to move here.  Our dancers, our school, everyone has been so welcomed and supported by the community.  Our Open House is our way of saying thanks. Join us and have fun.” – Mark Morris, MMDG Artistic Director/Choreographer.
