Jendaya Dash was born and raised in Jamaica, Queens where she began her dance training at the age of 12. She is classically trained in modern dance and ballet, and has studied under Obediah Wright, Daryl Richardson, Carolyn Devore, and Teresa Aubel. Jendaya attended her last two years of her undergraduate career at Sarah Lawrence College where she trained with Barbara Forbes, Nina Goldman, Sarah Rudner, Emily Divine and Rose-Ann Thom. Since graduating in 2014, Jendaya has joined Rod Rodgers Dance Company and has gone on to perform with The Move Shop in their production, You Absolute Dreamer. Jendaya has also made appearances in DEC3's Put Some South in Your Mouth music video and The Dream at 50: Times Square flash mob. In addition to dancing professionally, teaching BollyX, and making a name for herself fin the fitness world, Jendaya is also creating a career for herself in photography.
