John Eirich

John Eirich was raised in Florida where he earned his B.F.A. in dance from New World School of the Arts in 2005 and was a student at Jacob’s Pillow Contemporary Traditions Program. John was a member of Taylor 2 from 2006-2010, has been a member of TAKE Dance since 2007, joined Dušan Týnek Dance Theatre in 2010. He has also performed in The Magic Flute at the Opera Theatre of Saint Louis directed by Isaac Mizrahi (2014),  Missa Brevis with Limón Dance Company and L’Allegro, il Penseroso, ed il Moderato and The Hard Nut with the Mark Morris Dance Group. He is a founding member of Dance Heginbotham.

John has taught professional level open classes, teen and children's classes at the Mark Morris Dance Center since 2010. As a member of Dance Heginbotham he toured to South East Asia with DanceMotion USA and has taught Master class at Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival. As a member of TAKE Dance he has instructed professional workshops, college repertory classes, and company class. While John was in Taylor 2 he led many master classes internationally and across the US at various dance festivals, college workshops, led or aided in setting repertory at  PTDC intensives, and taught outreach classes from K-12 across the US.

The mission of the Mark Morris Dance Group is to develop, promote, and sustain dance, music, and opera productions by Mark Morris and to serve as a cultural resource to engage and enrich the community.
