Amy Page has dedicated her life to the art of dance, through many channels such as performing, teaching, choreographing, and creating costumes for dance. She holds a BFA in Contemporary Dance from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Amy has served on dance faculty at The College of William and Mary, St. Christopher’s School, Appomattox Regional Governor’s School for the Arts and Technology, Jessica Morgan School of Dance, Imagine Early Learning Centers, and Gus Giordano Dance School. During her time at St. Christopher’s School, Amy founded a preschool dance enrichment program which grew to be wildly successful. Professional company memberships have included Nancy Meehan Dance Company (NY), Flexicurve (NY), Thodos Dance Chicago, Lucky Plush Productions (Chicago), Starr Foster Dance Project (VA), Dogtown Dance Theater (VA) and Amaranth Contemporary Dance Company (VA). Amy’s choreography was commissioned and acquired by Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, and Thodos Dance Chicago, as well as presenting her own work at the Dance Chicago festival, Jennifer Muller/The Works’ Hatch program, and at Stage One Theater Company. Amy has created costumes for Hubbard Street 2, Thodos Dance Chicago, Columbia College, Mordine and Company, Lauri Stallings, Ballet Hispanico, Suzanne Bocanegra for Carnegie Hall’s collected stories curated by David Lang, and Keigwin and Company. Amy is an American Ballet Theatre Certified Teacher, who has successfully completed the ABT Teacher Training Intensive in Primary through Level 5 of the ABT National Training Curriculum. She is grateful for the opportunity to serve the students of The School at the Mark Morris Dance Group.
