Claire Czerniuk is from New York and has been dancing since the age of three. She is a graduate of the dance department at Marymount Manhattan College with a B.A. in Dance Studies and History. Trained in classical ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop and modern, she has performed the work of Sidra Bell, Adam Barruch, Elena Comendador, Deborah Zall, Blakeley White- McGuire, Geoffrey Doig Marx, Denise Vale, Elisa King and Penny Frank. She has studied dance at LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and the Performing Arts and the Martha Graham Contemporary School of Dance (Young Artists Program). She is currently working as a dancer and choreographer in various concerts and music videos.
The mission of the Mark Morris Dance Group is to develop, promote, and sustain dance, music, and opera productions by Mark Morris and to serve as a cultural resource to engage and enrich the community.
