MMDG Master Class Series

DanceAfrica Inclusive Workshop

An inclusive dance class for adults (ages 16 and up) of all levels and abilities.

African and Diaspora dance forms celebrate community and every aspect of life and living – they provide an insight into the culture, history, and traditions of the people. In this interactive workshop, participants will experience the rich and diverse cultural traditions of Africa through dance, music, and song.

Connect mind, body, and spirit as we explore and create rhythmic beats from the Gumboot dance from South Africa, this year's country of focus and from the Diaspora. Feet stomping, hands clapping, bodies moving, voices blending and spirits a part of the community and join us in this special DanceAfrica workshop for everyBODY!

Participants are asked to share any accommodation needs in advance, so that we can coordinate assistance accordingly.
