In 2004, FRONTLINE correspondent Dave Iverson received the same news that had been delivered to his father and older brother years earlier – he had Parkinson's disease.

My Father, My Brother, and Me, a FRONTLINE co-production with ITVS, will air February. 3, 2009, at 9 P.M. ET on PBS (check local listings). Iverson sets off on a personal journey to understand this degenerative neurological disorder, the causes of which remain largely unknown and the cure for which has proved frustratingly elusive, that has taken a toll not only on his family, but on more than 1 million Americans.

Iverson speaks with fellow Parkinson’s sufferers Michael J. Fox and Michael Kinsley, and investigates the role genetics may play in the disease.

He also finds a new source of hope in what seemed to be an unexpected place –movement – and interviews Mark Morris Dance Group dancers David Leventhal and John Heginbotham regarding their work with MMDG’s Dance for PD partnership program with the Brooklyn Parkinson Group.
