The Best 'Nutcracker'? Online Voters Pick a Familiar Dysfunctional Work
The results are in for Ovation TV’s annual “Battle of the Nutcrackers,” and it’s a repeat: Mark Morris’s “Hard Nut” will keep the crown.
In what wasn’t quite the most important vote of the year, Ovation, a cable channel devoted to the arts, pitted six filmed versions of the Nutcracker against one another, screened them repeatedly and asked viewers to pick which one they liked best.
