In 2006 Ms. Elashvili was nominated to be a fellow at Carnegie’s program, Ensemble ACJW, The Academy A Program of Carnegie Hall, The Juilliard School and the Weill Music Institute. As a fellow, she performed at Carnegie Hall and brought classical music to NYC public schools. Anna is the first violinist of the Bryant Park Quartet and a member of Decoda (a group formed from the alumni of Ensemble ACJW). As a member of these ensembles, she has performed in notable halls such as the Kennedy Center and Carnegie Hall, at the World Food Prize Laureate Ceremony and Princeton, Vassar, and SUNY Universities. Anna has also performed abroad in Iceland, England, Mexico, Germany, Canada and Abu Dhabi.Having studied dance for several years, Anna really enjoys her ongoing collaborations with the Lar Lubovitch Dance Company and the Mark Morris Dance Group. Anna has also collaborated with pop artists, Natalie Merchant, Becca Stevens and Anthony and the Johnsons. Anna was on faculty at the Third Street Music School Settlement for 12 years. Currently she teaches privately.
Klara Berkovich and Violaine Melançon were her primary teachers at the Peabody Preparatory and Baltimore School for the Arts, growing up in Baltimore. Anna received her Bachelors and Masters Degrees from The Juilliard School under the instruction of Prof. Joel Smirnoff and Masao Kawasaki. She has attended Yellow Barn, Perlman Music Program, Tanglewood and the Verbier Music Festivals.
