Join us for GagaLab Winter 2022: 6 days of intensive physical research, with a sense of plenty of time for process and discovery. Rooted in Ohad Naharin’s evolving movement language, GagaLab offers a framework to develop your artistry while connecting to your skills, imagination, and passion to move. Awaken your senses and turn on your engines in morning Gaga/dancers classes. Then apply Gaga tools to Naharin’s renowned, challenging choreography in daily repertory sessions, and deepen your understanding of Gaga in afternoon methodics classes.
GagaLab Winter 2022 is intended for professional dancers and advanced dance students age 18+.
Dates: January 3-8, 2022, 10:00 am – 4:00 p.m. each day (*the last day will finish at 2:00 p.m.)

To apply, complete the online application form. As part of the form, you must provide a link to a video of your dancing. The video should be 2 minutes in length. Share your skills and your passion to move. You must be clearly and completely visible, with no other dancers in the video.

If you reserved a spot and need to cancel, please notify the Mark Morris Dance Center staff immediately.
If you cancel up until 1 month prior to the start of the course: you will receive a refund of the tuition minus $150.
If you cancel within 1 month of the start of the course: if we can find a dancer to take your place, you will receive a 50% refund of the tuition. Otherwise, there is no refund.

This class is very similar to the daily class that is given to the Batsheva Dance Company dancers.
Ohad Naharin’s Repertory:
Learn excerpts of Ohad Naharin’s choreographic works from the company’s dancers and teachers. In this class, dancers apply their training in Gaga to the repertory.
This class will enable dancers to work in a different mode and study the most fundamental elements of Gaga in a deeper way.
Sample Daily Schedule (subject to change):

Tuition & Cancellation Policy
Tuition: $680(early), $750 (after November 29) this includes a non-refundable $150 registration fee
Cancellations & Refunds – If you reserved a spot and need to cancel, please notify us as soon as possible.
If you cancel before November 3: you will receive a refund of the tuition minus the non-refundable $150 registration fee.
If you cancel between November 3 and December 3: you will receive a 50% refund of the tuition.
If you cancel on or after December 4: you will receive a 25% refund of the tuition if your spot can be replaced with another student. If your spot is not filled, no tuition will not be refunded.
COVID-19 Safety Policies
The health and safety of our community is our top priority and therefore the Mark Morris Dance Center will maintain safety measures to protect against COVID-19. Students should review the Safety Plan prior to arrival at the Dance Center.
In accordance with the “Key To NYC,” proof of vaccination will be required for all who are eligible (currently ages 12+) to enter the Dance Center and participate in in-person programming. Masks are required regardless of vaccination status in all common/public spaces. Pre-registration is required for all on-site activities.
