As we plan for fall at the Mark Morris Dance Center, we’d like to give you an update on our path to reopening. In accordance with New York State and CDC guidelines and recommendations, we will reopen the Dance Center in three distinct stages:
STAGE 1: Starting in September, the Dance Center will not be open to the public and all programs will continue to be delivered 100% online, through live and on-demand (select adult classes only) video platforms. Our teaching artists will stream live Zoom classes and film on-demand classes from our Dance Center studios, not from their homes.
STAGE 2: When it is deemed safe to gather in person, and no earlier than January 2021, we will move into Stage 2. During this stage, programs will be delivered in a hybrid format blending in-person and online classes. We will give you more information on this hybrid programming at a later date.
STAGE 3: When we can safely increase capacity for in-person classes, the Dance Center will move into Stage 3. While we will continue to offer online instruction, most students will take classes in person at the Dance Center.
The health and well-being of our students and of our community are our top priority. Therefore, we are planning to implement new measures upon the reopening of the Dance Center to minimize the spread of COVID-19, protect our faculty and staff, and provide a safe space for our community. If you have any questions on our path to reopening, please email us at email@example.com.
Our vibrant community can continue to dance together online! This summer, we’re offering live and on-demand classes to ensure the joy of dance continues for our global community.
