Alexander Clough

ALEXANDER CLOUGH is an up and coming pianist and bandleader on the New York Jazz scene. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Alex was exposed early on to New York City’s cultural scene and, after graduating with honors from Tufts University, embarked on a journey to find his place in the artistic milieu of New York City. Alex actively pursues a number of interests.  He has a roster of 20 private students, is musical director and co-leader of Nightingale Jazz Band and is in the process of bringing together a band to present his original compositions.  Other pursuits include accompaniment work for the Metropolitan Opera Guild and the Mark Morris Dance Group, a weekly appearance at the award-winning Sparkling Pointe on the North Fork of Long Island and sideman work with various music groups in New York City.
