Alison Mixon’s passion for performing began as a scholarship student at The School of Cleveland San Jose Ballet, The School of American Ballet, Chautauqua Institution, Alonzo King’s LINES Ballet, and The Juilliard School, where she received her B.F.A. in dance. She enjoys performing for dance, musical theater, and opera companies, such as Paramount Pictures, Disneyland Entertainment, The Metropolitan Opera, The Lyric Opera, Los Angeles Opera, Washington National Opera, TheatreWorks of Silicon Valley, Dodgers Theatrical, Sacramento Music Circus, and Asolo Repertory Theatre. Her teaching credits include The Ailey School & Extension, Ailey’s Arts In Education Program, The Joffrey School’s Jazz and Contemporary Program, Broadway Dance Center, Rosie’s Theater Kids, Mark Morris Dance Center, Brooklyn Ballet, and Dancewave. Mixon is a certified teacher for American Ballet Theatre’s National Training Curriculum, Pre-Primary to Level 3. She is a member of Actors’ Equity Association, American Guild of Musical Artists, and American Guild of Variety Artists.
