COLLEEN JONES studied piano and received her BA in music in western Canada. She performed as a pianist at Westin, Four Season Hotels and Fairmont chains in restaurant lounges in Vancouver and Toronto. She also performed with her jazz combo in Toronto. Colleen studied Cuban music with Holario Duran in Toronto before moving to New York in 2004. She studied jazz piano with Gary Dial at the Manhattan School of Music, playing in New York as a soloist and with her jazz combo. Since 2006 she has been an accompanist for dance classes at the Mark Morris Dance Center in Brooklyn and other dance schools in Manhattan. She accompanies for ballet, modern/creative dance and tap classes. Colleen has composed music for dance pieces and repertoire includes Broadway show tunes, Classical, Cuban, Flamingo, Tango, and Jazz standards (odd meters/improv).
