Dylan Greene

Dylan Hunter Chee Greene is a Canadian-American percussionist and drummer based in New York. With a voracious appetite for collaboration in a range of modes, Greene has performed with the Grammy-nominated A Far Cry chamber orchestra, at the BAM Next Wave Festival, in WNYC’s podcast Radiolab, alongside baroque groups, and for artists like Olga Bell of the Dirty Projectors. As an avid performer and composer whose works have appeared at Alvin Ailey and the Detroit Institute of the Arts, Greene creates and improvises as a co-founder of the Willo and Thread duos and as a member of Oracle Hysterical, a composer collective in New York City that writes song cycles about great literature from Homer to the Brothers Grimm. With the support of Carnegie Hall and New York State, Greene teaches site-specific songwriting with DeCoda and Music Beyond Measure to teens in foster care and prison pipeline reform, as well as to the NYPD police athletic league.
