Lily McAteer

Lily McAteer received her B.F.A. (Magna Cum Laude) in dance performance from The Ailey School/Fordham University after pre-professional training at Charlotte Ballet. Upon graduation, she joined the faculties of The Ailey School’s Junior Division and the Mark Morris Dance Center. From 2014 to 2017 she served as Resident Choreographer and Programs Director for The Mirror Theater in Greensboro, Vermont, leading all arts-in-education and children’s programming. Her choreographic work includes productions of Carousel, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, The Sound of Music, Kiss Me Kate, Annie Get Your Gun, Hamlet, The Magic Flute, and The Sleeping Beauty (as director and choreographer). She served as Dance Captain for the world premiere of Joshua Sobel’s play Sinners, directed by Olivier Award and Golden Globe winner Brian Cox. Additionally, McAteer is a Teaching Artist for New York City Ballet and Alvin Ailey Arts In Education & Community Programs.
