Kristina Bermudez
Kristina Bermudez has worked as an independent freelance dance artist in a myriad of projects ranging in contemporary dance, theater, and film. A Brooklyn-based choreographer and collaborator, she focuses on ways to translate movement for accessible consumption. Her work fosters inclusiveness, accessibility, and community through immersive experiences and non-traditional staging while maintaining focus on sustainability and its relationship to her work. She is the Artistic Director of Project.KB, a Brownsville-based production organization whose mission is to build a sustainable economy through dance. Kristina is thrilled to be teaching the Adult Beginner Jazz class at Mark Morris. The class starts with a 45 min technical jazz warm up to build a strong foundation, transitions to an across the floor exercise and concludes with a dance combination that range from vernacular styles to social dance steps, contemporary and theatrical jazz. The class level is based at Advanced Beginner but absolute beginners are welcome and will be absolutely accommodated for. The class is inclusive with a a work hard play hard mentality!
