Eva Solnick
Eva Solnick is currently a Professional Dance Artist in New York City. She has danced professionally with Ballet BC, Marla Phelan, and Helen Simoneau Danse, among others, and has worked as Creative Assistant for the Alvin Ailey School and Colombia Ballet Collaborative. She has also worked with multidisciplinary artists in galleries and for New York Fashion Week. Beginning as a ballet dancer before transitioning into other forms of dance, Pilates was a supportive ally to her body. It was a safe and accessible practice for her to develop a new relationship to her body amidst the challenging currents of life. In hopes that she could share the benefits of Pilates with her community, Eva received her Mat Certification from the Kane School in New York City in 2022. In her class, she focuses on rhythmic breath, alignment, and flow, as well as sensory oriented cues to help the body integrate and receive information. She creates a warm, supportive and generous environment for her students, allowing them to learn how to trust their bodies in new and exploratory ways. Eva has trained with Somatic Practitioner and Bodyworker Kimberly Ann Johnson. With her, she learned how to work with the body through the lens of healing trauma through the nervous system. Eva also currently trains with movement specialist Anneke Hanson, and will complete an extensive training of her method in 2025. Eva believes that every body can benefit greatly from moving in a supportive, intentional, and emboldened way. She is excited to expand her reach as a teacher and gift her students the wisdom she receives through her 15 years of experience as an attuned Performing Artist.
