Elise Gaugert

Elise Gaugert (mezzo-soprano) is a Brooklyn based singer, teacher and the Operations Manager at the Mark Morris Dance Group (MMDG).  Gaugert moved to New York from Raleigh, North Carolina, to study Vocal Performance at the Manhattan School of Music and has performed most recently with The Center for Contemporary Opera, Riverside Choral Society, Long Leaf Opera, North Carolina Opera and the Mark Morris Dance Group Music Ensemble. Gaugert also works regularly as a soloist and choir member at St. Clement’s Episcopal Church and Church of Notre Dame in Manhattan. This past December, she helped prepare and lead the Hard Nut Singers in their performances of MMDG’s The Hard Nut at the Brooklyn Academy of Music and is excited to be teaching a weekly choral music class within The School at the Mark Morris Dance Group in the fall.
