Emily Kennerley

Emily Kennerley (soprano) performs frequently in the New York metro area. She has sung with the American Symphony Orchestra, Amherst Early Music Festival, dell’Arte Opera Ensemble, Empire Opera, Manhattan Opera Studio, and the Santa Fe Desert Chorale. She has given recital tours in Connecticut, New Jersey and New Mexico. Kennerley recently served as the interim music director for the children’s music program at St. James’ Episcopal Church in NYC and sings regularly at Park Avenue Synagogue, St. Ignatius of Antioch, Madison Avenue Presbyterian, and St. Mary the Virgin, Times Square. She is a member of the Sanctuary Choir and a section leader for Festival of Voices at Marble Collegiate Church, where she is also the choral contractor. Kennerley was a finalist in the American Opera Idol Competition with the CT Concert Opera in 2011. She holds a master of music degree in voice performance and pedagogy from Westminster Choir College, and a bachelor of arts degree in philosophy from St. John’s College, Santa Fe. She also works full time at The Juilliard School as the manager of alumni relations for development and public affairs.
