Handel Dances in Mark Morris' Acis and Galatea

BERKELEY — Acis, a shepherd, and Galatea, a nymph, are in love. The jealous giant Polyphemus brains Acis. Galatea uses her divine powers to restore her slain swain into a fountain, gently purring eternal love.
The mission of the Mark Morris Dance Group is to develop, promote, and sustain dance, music, and opera productions by Mark Morris and to serve as a cultural resource to engage and enrich the community.
