Adriana Olivares
Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Adriana Olivares began her dance studies in ballet and jazz, as well as Venezuelan folkloric music (tambora) with Diego Alvarez, an internationally known percussionist. At the age of 19, she immersed herself in the world of flamenco, dedicating herself fully to the art. She studied with many important flamenco artists, among them Siudy Garrido, Daniela Tugues, María Juncal, Alfonso Losa, Omayra Amaya, and Sonia Olla. After a season in Miami, she taught and rehearsed with Siudy Dance Company to perform Falla & Flamenco with Dudamel at Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles and as part of the premiere in Miami of Siudy Flamenco: Intimo at Miami-Dade County Auditorium. She is back in New York getting ready to perform and teach in the city.
