Thank you for your interest in Community Education programs! We are always interested in establishing new partnerships with our community including programming in schools, non-profit organizations, and community centers throughout all boroughs of New York City. Our programs are for participants from early childhood through older adulthood and we work with disabled and non-disabled people. The mission of the Community Education programs is to provide meaningful artistic experiences sharing the joy and lifelong benefits of dance and music through arts education. These robust programs share a vision of excellent, progressive instruction for all students throughout New York City and are centered on our core values of Access, Artistic Excellence, Creativity, and Community.
The Mark Morris Dance Group is a non-profit organization that includes the homonymous professional dance company, The School for children and teens, adult programs, and community education programs, all housed at the Mark Morris Dance Center in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. We take pride in employing over 100 Teaching Artists, Musicians, and Assistant Teaching Artists as part of our Education team; this allows us to provide our community partners with a variety of programs to choose from and the flexibility to work within your needs and interests when discussing programming.
