Scholarships

Mark Morris Dance Group’s scholarship program began in 2001 when we opened the Dance Center. Over 2020-2021 academic year, with great thanks to the Allan and Rhea Bufferd Education Fund and MMDG Board Member Onay Payne and as part of our commitment to core values of advancing access, we formalized the program. During 2021-2022, $25,000 in need-based scholarships will be provided to a limited number of qualifying students and will be awarded via a first-come, first serve basis. Applicants will be notified of results on a rolling basis until all scholarships are distributed.

We determine eligibility for our scholarship program via the Federal Income Guidelines for WIC Programs. You can find the 2021-2022 Federal Income Guidelines used to determine eligibility for WIC Programs here: https://www.health.ny.gov/prevention/nutrition/wic/income_guidelines.htm

If you do not meet these requirements, please be sure to review our tiered tuition options. Payment plans are also available for select programs.
