As part of this year’s online Radnor Fringe Festival, we are excited to stream Words.

There will also be a related Dance with MMDG class that is family-friendly and suitable for all ages and abilities, along with a video clip of the company’s dancers performing Words in their own home environments during quarantine.

“We are so happy to participate in the Radnor Fringe Festival in the best and only way we can during this unimagined situation, and we are grateful for the capacity to share our work with your audience,” says Mark Morris, artistic director of the Mark Morris Dance Group. “Like everyone else in the performing arts business, we fervently wish we were still performing live, in real theatres, with all of the performers and the audience under the same roof! All of us are doing our best and hoping to do even better soonest.”

Amanda Griffkin, artistic director of Llandrindod’s long-established dance organisation, Impelo, said on hearing the news, “We were incredibly excited to hear that Mark Morris Dance Group have kindly offered their online performance Words to Radnor Fringe Festival. We’re all massive fans of the Mark Morris Dance Group at Impelo, and we’re looking forward to seeing the show and joining in with the dance class afterwards. As a choreographer, Mark Morris excels at making music come to life through movement, which makes for a joyful audience experience!”
