Dance Synergy has been initiated to celebrate diversity. It will feature non-stop performances from over 35 renowned dance artists spanning six continents and multiple dance genres, alongside diverse dance workshops. All events are open to audiences and participants worldwide.

The dance marathon starts on Saturday 22 August at 1pm ET with performances from the UK and then travels west round the globe across Argentina, USA, Australia, Indonesia, China, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Bahrain, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Bahrain, Italy and Spain before returning back to the UK for the grand finale, concluding at 6pm BST on Sunday 23 August.

Featuring a mix of live and specially-created recorded performances, the entire danceathon will be broadcast live on SBDC’s Facebook page which will be both an artistic and a technical feat, even for today’s Zoom-heavy times.

The Mark Morris Dance Group will be presenting Italian Concerto and Numerator, both previously recorded from Mark Morris Dance Center shows in 2007 and 2018 respectively.

Dance Synergy will be broadcast on the SBDC Facebook page and will feature:
