Winston Dynamite Brown is the Associate Choreographer to the Metropolitan Opera’s 2023-2024 season, new production of El Niño. Dynamite is also a recent member of the Camille A. Brown & Dancers company, performing in Fire Shut In My Bones and AIDA at the MET. Over his career Dynamite has had the pleasure of working with Kyle Abraham/A.I.M, Taylor 2, Pilobolus, Sean CurranCo., Opera Theater St. Louis, and Stephanie Batten Bland Co. to name a few. He has taught at institutions such as Dalton High, Ailey Fordham, the Paul Taylor School, the Joffrey Ballet, Manhattan Movement Arts Center, and The Martha Graham School, among many others. The DynamitExperience, a contemporary dance company founded in 2019 by Dynamite and partner, Latra Wilson, has been commissioned by JPAC (Jamaica Performing Arts Center, NYC), JACK Arts (NYC), Earl Mosley’s Institute of the Arts at Hofstra (NY), Dance Institute of Washington (DC); and presented at: the SHED (NYC), The Mark O’Donnell Theater at The Actors Fund Theater (NYC), Manhattan Movement & Arts Center (NYC), Dance Adelphi (NY), DanceWave (NYC), Music Theater Heritage Kansas City (MO), The Dairy Arts Center (CO), among others. TDE serves as a platform for creative investigations and community engagement; the company creates work aiming to impact the local community, specifically those who generally do not see themselves represented on stage.
