Robbie Cook
Robbie Cook (he/him/his) is a Brooklyn-based dance artist working as an Associate Professor of Dance at Hofstra University in New York; during the summer he teaches at the American Dance Festival and guest teaches both nationally and internationally. He has been teaching Pilates since 1998 and has taught at studios in Chicago, New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles and in academic institutions including Loyola Marymount University, Hofstra University and Bates Dance Festival; he currently teaches Pilates and other fitness forms for Brooklyn Strength. Robbie was also certified in Yoga in 2010 and has taught in NYC, Los Angeles, at Bates Dance Festival and continues to teach at American Dance Festival every summer since 2012. His classes are infused with information from his continual study of functional anatomy and his parallel interests in various dance forms and fitness modalities.
