Alex Perry^

Alex Perry is a pianist, composer, and educator living in Brooklyn, NY. He received his Bachelor of Music Degree from Rutgers University where he studied with Stanley Cowell. He has received additional training from Conservatorium Van Amsterdam, the Banff Workshop in Jazz and Creative Music, and the School for Improvisational Music. Perry performs with his own projects as well as collaborations throughout the city. He has performed at Blue Note Jazz Club, ShapeShifter Lab, Spectrum, Scholes Street Studio, and the Montreal Jazz Festival. Alex teaches piano lessons privately in New York and at Buck’s Rock Creative and Performing Arts Camp in New Milford, CT. Perry was a participant in the Mark Morris Dance Accompaniment Training Program in spring of 2017. He looks forward to deepening his understanding of dance and its relationship to music.
