Ellie Kusner
Ellie Kusner is a Bessie award-winning performer, dance teacher, and pilates instructor. She currently works privately with pilates students of all ages and leads movement experiences in the Mark Morris Dance Center Wellness Center. Additionally, Ellie enjoys teaching at Hofstra University, Gallim Dance, and The Juilliard School. In 2013, Ellie earned an MSc in Dance Science from Trinity Laban in London, England. Through its investigation of physiology, biomechanics, psychology, nutrition, and somatic, this interdisciplinary degree deepened her comprehension of the complex, moving body. Her master’s thesis explored dancers’ experiences of breathing, a topic she continues to investigate through scientific research, discussion, and personal iquiry.
