Gregory Luce
GREGORY LUCE is a violist and violinist praised for his “genuine intensity” (New York Times) and “appealing, natural” artistry (Washington Post). With a career spanning interdisciplinary collaborations, from dance and opera to musical theater and television, his deepest artistic roots lie in chamber music.
From 2007 to 2017, Greg performed in the Aeolus Quartet, cultivating a decade of heartfelt collaboration. Following a performance in Norway, Strad magazine lauded the group’s dynamism, noting Luce as “especially enjoyable.” The administrative acumen he developed during this formative period helped pave the way for his appointment as Managing Director of Reed Yeboah Fine Violins in New York City, a role he has held since March 2025.
Greg maintains close artistic relationships with leading ensembles including Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, the American String Quartet, A Far Cry (Boston), Ensemble MidtVest (Denmark), the Smithsonian Chamber Players, and the Orchestra of St. Luke’s. He also performed as violinist and violist in the first national tour of Hamilton: An American Musical from its inception in January 2018 until its conclusion in June 2023.
Beyond the concert hall, Greg enjoys cooking, home-brewing, information security, and video games. He has volunteered with Animal Care Centers of New York and the Nomi Network, a nonprofit committed to ending the exploitation of women and girls worldwide.
