Joyride, Mark Morris’ seventh ballet commission for San Francisco Ballet, was also performed in New York City, Chicago, Washington D.C., and Costa Mesa during the Company’s 2008 North American Tour. The dance is set to Son of Chamber Symphony, a commissioned score by John Adams. The dance was presented as part of San Francisco Ballet’s New Works Festival, celebrating their 75th anniversary. John Adams conducted the world premiere performance.
