Multi-keyboardist George Lykogiannis has performed extensively throughout the United States and in Europe. As a classically trained pianist, he has appeared as a soloist with orchestras in Indiana, New Jersey, and Italy. Additionally, his solo piano concerts have brought him to numerous venues throughout the New York metropolitan area and abroad. Lykogiannis is currently a ballet & modern dance accompanist at the Mark Morris Dance Group, the Ailey School, the José Limón Dance Foundation, and Marymount Manhattan College. He has accompanied ballet and modern dance classes and auditions all over New York City and New Jersey. In the spring of 2017, he was chosen to participate in the inaugural class of the Dance Accompanist Training Program, run by the Mark Morris Dance Group in New York. He is currently pursuing his Doctorate of Musical Arts (DMA) in classical piano performance at Rutgers University in New Jersey.
The mission of the Mark Morris Dance Group is to develop, promote, and sustain dance, music, and opera productions by Mark Morris and to serve as a cultural resource to engage and enrich the community.
