The School at the Mark Morris Dance Center is a community-based dance and music program in a fully inclusive and nurturing environment, located in the heart of the Brooklyn Cultural District. The School’s diverse and professional faculty provides progressive, non-competitive, and inclusive instruction with classes accompanied by live music. We are intentionally a non-recital school with a student-centered, culturally responsive instructional approach based in our core values of Artistic Excellence, Creativity, Community, and Access.

The School is split into two divisions: Children and Teen Programs (Ages 6-18 years) and Early Childhood Programs (Ages 18 mos.-6 years). Registration for Early Childhood Winter Session and Children and Teen Semester 2 is open. Join our email list to receive email alerts about registration. Visitors and guardians will be permitted inside the Dance Center on a limited basis.

Masks are required regardless of vaccination status. Please refer to our Visit the Dance Center page for our latest COVID-19 safety policies.

We will continue to monitor and assess applicable health and safety directives and guidance regarding COVID-19 as that information evolves. COVID-19 safety policies are subject to change and interpretive modification at any time.

Contact schooladmin@mmdg.org for questions on uploading proof of vaccination.
