Once accepted into the intensive you will be invited to register.

The daily schedule will include classes in:

Gaga/dancers: 
This class is very similar to the daily class that is given to the Batsheva Dance Company dancers.

Ohad Naharin's Repertory:
Learn excerpts of Ohad Naharin’s choreographic works from the company’s dancers and teachers. In this class, dancers apply their training in Gaga to the repertory.

Gaga methodics:
This class will enable dancers to work in a different mode and study the most fundamental elements of Gaga in a deeper way.

Sample Daily Schedule (subject to change):
Gaga/dancers class 10:00am - 11:15am
Repertory 11:30am - 1:00pm 
Lunch break 1:00 - 2:00pm
Repertory 2:00pm - 3:15pm
Methodics 3:30pm - 4:45pm

Tuition: $650 (this includes a non-refundable $150 registration fee)


Discount: Dancers who have attended a previous Gaga Intensive in Tel Aviv, New York, Los Angeles, Belgium, Barcelona, or Italy (Torino) will receive a 15% discount on the tuition, bringing the total cost of the program to $552.50.


Cancellation Policy: If you cancel before July 7, 2017, you will receive a full refund minus the $150 non-refundable registration fee.
If you cancel after July 7, there is no refund unless we can fill your spot in the intensive, in which case you will receive a full refund minus the $150 non-refundable registration fee.

Adi Salant

Adi Salant started dancing at the age of 6 at the Bat-Dor School of Dance, where she studied for 12 years. After her graduation from the dance division of the Alon High School of Art , Adi joined Batsheva - the young Ensemble for two years. She was then invited to join Batsheva Dance Company, where she danced for five years. When Adi left the company in 2001, she became Ohad Naharin's assistant and staged his work for leading dance companies around the world until 2009. 
Adi moved to Denmark to join her partner in 2004, and she launched her own teaching and choreography career by winning Dansolution, a choreography competition in Copenhagen, Denmark. In the following years, she was commissioned to create for various theaters and companies in Denmark, and she was invited to present her choreography in festivals throughout the U.S., Europe, and Israel. In September 2009 rejoined Batsheva Dance Company as Associate Artistic Director and in January 2013 was appointed Co-Artistic Director.

Bobbi Jene Smith

Bobbi Jene Smith was born in Centerville, Iowa. She has trained at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, North Carolina School of the Arts, and the Juiliard School under the direction of Larry Rhodes. She joined the Batsheva Ensemble in 2005 and Batsheva Dance Company in 2008. For the past three summers she has been on the faculty of the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance teaching Gaga and the repertory of Ohad Naharin.

Tom Weinberger

Born in Israel in 1987, Tom graduated from the Amal School of Arts and Sciences and joined the Batsheva Ensemble in 2005. He continued to the Batsheva Dance Company from 2008 to 2011, where he worked with Ohad Naharin and Sharon Eyal. In 2012, Tom began freelancing and worked with Barak Marshall, as well as Company E in Washington, DC, where he set both Ohad and Sharon’s work and served as rehearsal director. In the past year, Tom was a founding member of Sharon Eyal and Guy Behar’s new project, L-E-V, and danced with the Gothenburg Ballet (Sweden) where he performed works by Peeping Tom, Marie Chouinard, and Alex Eckman. Recently, he was a guest artist with Michael Keegan Dolan’s-Fabulous Beast Dance Theater and with the Batsheva Dance Company. He has been a Gaga teacher for the past 8 years, and has taught both Gaga and Ohad’s repertory in schools such as the Netherlands Dance Theater Summer Program (2010-2014), the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance, the Taipei National University of the Arts and Springboard Dans Montreal.
