A showcase of Sport for our Members and Friends
Last week, the Dance Group gave a private showing of Sport — a 2019 work that has been previously performed just three times. Set to “Sports et divertissements” by Eric Satie for a dozen dancers, the piece was performed in the Dance Center’s intimate James and Martha Duffy Performance Space, with live piano accompaniment from Music Director Colin Fowler.
Sport took the audience on a charming romp through springtime games and amusements, full of cheerful activities and coquettish romance.
