Mark Morris on TV
From choreographing commercials and award shows to being a guest on well-known television programs to having an entire episode of an original ESPN+ show dedicated to the Mark Morris Dance Group, Mark has had extensive involvement in television. A new digital exhibit available to MMDG members explores Mark’s most iconic TV appearances and collaborations.
Sneak a peek at this exhibit with this 1997 guest appearance on Sesame Street. Mark choreographed a couple of dances for PBS’s beloved children’s program, and performed alongside three puppets. Watch here:

Mark Morris: Music I Want You To Hear
Summer’s relaxed pace means more time to indulge in discovering and listening to new music. Mark’s Long-Form Ecstasy playlist “comprises longer pieces meant to be listened to one artist at a time, in no particular order, and uninterrupted.”
Happy listening.
At the Dance Center: Registration is open for Children & Teens classes!
The School at the Mark Morris Dance Center offers a variety of dance classes in different styles and levels for children and teens, from 6 to 18 years old. Classes include Jazz, Modern, Ballet, Hip-Hop, Tap, and more – this year we are launching 2 new classes: Broadway Jazz and Contemporary!
There are also classes for little ones: We Dance: Postpartum (newborns to new walkers with parent or caregiver), We Dance: Toddler and Grown-up Movement (18 months to 4 years old with parent or caregiver), Creative Dance (4 to 6 years old) and a new class offering: Creative Explorations for young movers ages 5-6 years old.
Our diverse and professional faculty provides progressive, non-competitive, and inclusive instruction, and most of our classes feature live music accompaniment. Classes at The School support critical thinking, creative choice, collaboration, and communication while centering the joy of moving.
