September 15 through October 15 is National Hispanic Heritage Month to recognize the contributions of people of Hispanic heritage to the history, culture, and achievements of the United States. These dates were chosen because they coincide with national independence days in several South and Central American countries: Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Mexico, and Chile.

In celebration, MMDG staff and dancers have compiled a list of artists and dance groups who inspire us.
