Marc Nuñez
Marc Nuñez (he/him) is a queer Filipinx-American director, choreographer, and dancer. He has danced for Rihanna, Todrick Hall, Donald McKayle’s Etude Ensemble, Mike Esperanza’s BARE Dance Company, and Entity Contemporary Dance, and has also played roles in musicals including Cathy Rigby is Peter Pan (international tour) and Disney’s Newsies. He has been the Founder/Director of Gotham Dance Theater (GDT) since 2015. GDT’s achievements include: City Artists Corps Grant Recipient (2021), Queens Council on the Arts Grant Recipient (2021, 2022), and Queensboro Dance Festival (2015-2022). Nuñez is a contemporary, hip-hop, jazz, and musical theatre Teaching Artist for the Mark Morris Dance Group, Battery Dance, and Dance Matters NYC, and has taught throughout various studios in New York City, including Broadway Dance Center, Peridance Center, RIOULT Dance Center, Mae Mae Dance Studio, and El Puente. He holds a B.F.A. in dance performance with excellence in choreography from the University of California, Irvine. He is a member of Actors Equity and represented by CESD Talent Agency.
