Andrew Millar
Andrew Millar is a freelance drummer based in Brooklyn, New York. Originally from British Columbia, Canada, Andrew relocated to New York City in 2015 after receiving a BC Arts Council grant to study with the great Kenny Washington. A musician of immense taste and versatility, Andrew has established himself as one of the first call swing, trad, and modern jazz drummers on the scene today. He can be heard as a regular with the Glenn Crytzer Orchestra, Terry Waldo’s Gotham City Jazz Band, The James Navan Trio, Dennis Lichtman’s Secret Workshop, and many others. Andrew has also had the pleasure of performing with luminaries such as Jon-Erik Kelso, Ned Goold, Ian Hendrickson-Smith, David Wong, Roni Ben-Hur, Michael Arenella, Vince Giordano, Warren Vache, James Chirillo, Ray Gallon, Murray Wall, and Joe Cohn at venues such as Lincoln Center, the National Arts Club, the Rainbow Room, Kitano Jazz Club, the Zinc Bar, Flushing Town Hall, and more.
