Catherine Tharin: This anniversary program spans four and a half decades. How did you choose what to include?
Mark Morris: I like contrast. Some pieces are old, some are new, and they look really different from each other so there is range and variety.

Mark Morris: Music I Want You To Hear
Mark Morris Dance Group and Music Ensemble performances at The Joyce will feature a rich musical palette – from Harlem stride piano legend James P. Johnson, to Romantic master Robert Schumann and traditional Scottish and English folk songs, performed live by the MMDG Music Ensemble.
Mark Morris has curated a special playlist featuring composers from both programs.

At the Dance Center: Summer Programming
The Dance Center is filled with young dance campers learning a variety of techniques including ballet, modern, tap, hip-hop, and jazz along with exploration of different art forms and stagecraft inspired by Mark Morris’ 2025 premiere, MOON.
From Dance for PD: Disability Pride Month
July is Disability Pride Month! Join us in celebrating at Lincoln Center’s Summer for the City with Dance for PD. Designed to be accessible to all, this Inclusive Funk & Soul class led by Audrey Madison invites participants of all ages and abilities to experience the joys and benefits of dance while creatively supporting balance, cognition, motor skills, and physical confidence.
