
Ashley Ayers
Ashley Ayers is a movement educator and corrective exercise specialist based in Brooklyn with more than two decades’ experience teaching movement. She holds a BA in Dance from Kennesaw State University and was trained in Pilates through the Kane School and STOTT Pilates, as well as the GYROTONIC® method under master trainer Chantal Deeble. Her continuing education includes selective certifications through NeuroStudio, Core Exercise Solutions, and NASM, among others.
Ashley specializes in working with hypermobility and hEDS, back pain, injury recovery, neuromuscular conditions, pregnancy and postpartum populations, as well as dancers and athletes. She has worked with movers ranging in age from 2 to 94, each bringing distinct goals, concerns and histories into their movement practice. Her approach draws from both clinical training and embodied experience, allowing her to tailor movement strategies with precision and care.
Her work emphasizes evidence-informed practice while remaining adaptable and responsive. Ashley designs individualized sessions that support nervous system awareness, sustainable strength, and long-term independence. She views movement as a flexible, evolving practice that can support functional resilience and a more integrated relationship to the body, offering clients tools that extend beyond the studio setting.
