Highlights from our 45th Anniversary Season at BAM

We’re still beaming from our anniversary shows at BAM! We’d like to say THANK YOU to everyone who attended our Opening Night Benefit Dinner, our Pre-Show Family Workshop, and for supporting us at the shows.

With 2 New York premieres and the return of an iconic Mark Morris work, these performances were a special reminder of the power of live dance and music!

“an entrancing, pensive musing on America’s infatuation with the moon.”

“[Via Dolorosa] is a work that seeks truth in plainness and uses simple means to devastating effect.”

At the Dance Center: Guest Artist Series

We’re excited to introduce the Guest Artist Series at the Mark Morris Dance Center, a new initiative designed to support and connect the professional dance community through weekly classes led by a rotating roster of guest artists.

Our Guest Artist Series includes an incredible lineup of teaching artists, including Chelsea Thedinga (May 8), Marla Phelan (April 16, July 2, & August 6), Maleek Washington (May 28 & June 25), Nijawwon Matthews (April 30 & May 7), and Nicole von Arx (June 11 & 18).

Rooted in a commitment to fostering an inclusive and artist-centered environment, the Guest Artist Series creates a welcoming space where dancers can gather, grow, and feel supported in their practice while creating space for artistic exchange, skill-building, and community connection throughout the spring and summer seasons.
