Online Event

Performances Times

September 17, 2020

8:00 pm

This summer, join us for a series of free, livestreamed Listening Parties with Mark Morris and MMDG Music Director Colin Fowler as they delve into music of different genres and eras. This event will be centered around music that commonly divides listeners into opposing camps and will include a live, online question-and-answer session with Morris and Fowler.

Music has the power to elicit a wide array of responses and emotions. Morris and Fowler will discuss works that commonly divide listeners into opposing camps. What is it about this music that evokes such extreme responses? Is it possible to feel both these emotions simultaneously?

As a performance, education, and cultural resource for our global community, changes in programming, including postponed performances and cancellations, have had a significant financial impact on our organization. Amidst these challenges, we are committed to bringing you meaningful programs and keeping our community strong.

But we need your help. If you can, please consider donating to our Dance On! Recovery Fund. If you’ve already made a gift—thank you!
