Sarah Garcea
Sarah Garcea is a Brooklyn based performance and visual artist, AFAA certified fitness instructor and Dancer. As a former drummer she loves bringing musicality into her classes, playing with various rhythms and teaching students to incorporate beats and pacing in their tap dance practice. She started her dance career in her hometown of Buffalo NY choreographing and performing in numerous plays, musicals, and dance recitals. After moving to NYC she discovered Latin dancing and fell in love with the music and culture. Partnering with a professional Latin Ballroom dancer they taught classes and performed throughout the city. At the Dance Studio of Park Slope she continued dancing and teaching children Tap, Jazz and Ballet. She choreographed performances for adults and kids for numerous recitals and showcases. She has directed and produced musicals and shows on a regular basis with the nonprofit arts organization Coney Island USA. Currently she’s continuing her performance art at venues such as Le Poisson Rouge, The Bell House, Coney Island USA and Joe’s Pub. She recently completed the 200 hr. Yoga Teacher Training from Shambhala Yoga and Dance center and loves incorporating mindfulness in all her classes.
