Sama Bajonero

Sama Bajonero is a chicana dancer and choreographer based in Brooklyn. Immigrated from Cuidad de Mexico in 2010 and now resides in Brooklyn. She began dancing formally when she was 3, however her feet were constantly moving way before that through cumbia. In 2021 she joined  Katharine Pettit Creative after graduating from The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts as a student of the Musical Theatre program. Previously trained with Ladies of Hip-hop, The Fort Worth Dance Syndicate,La Casa de la Cultura and MODArts Dance Collective, with work featured in venues such as Brooklyn Art Haus, Triskelion Arts, The Tank, The Herb Alpert Auditorium, Nublu, and Theatre for the New City. Her dance style ranging from salsa to hip-hop, jazz, contemporary, folklorico, house and cumbia.
