J.G. Luitje is originally from Kalamazoo, Michigan, and has been living in New York for over two years. They graduated in 2019 from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor’s of Art in Dance, and a Minor in communication. They also attended Irene’s Myomassology Institute in 2021 and earned their Massage Therapy License. Since being in the city they have performed mostly contemporary works with Rogue Wave, Caroline Alter, Aryanna Allen, and more. They have been teaching dance for over 6 years and look back very fondly on their time spent teaching in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Outside of the studio they enjoy skateboarding, baking, and sitting in the park with friends. J.G. ultimately values the way that dance can improve students’ lives, and bring people together to have fun.
