Enrico Lagasca

Enrico Lagasca (bass-baritone) has been said to have “a beautiful sound” (New York Times). He is enjoying a career in Oratorio, Opera, Chamber Music, and recitals with a repertoire spanning from early to contemporary music across America. Affiliated with some of the most prestigious choral ensembles in the United States, Lagasca sings regularly as soloist and chorister in the Choir of St. Ignatius Loyola and the Bach Choir of the Bach Vespers at Holy Trinity Lutheran. Frequently sings with Musica Sacra New York, The Cathedral Choir of St. John the Divine, New York Choral Artists, The St. Thomas Choir of Men and Boys, The Bard Festival Chorus, with Ensemble VIII in Austin, Texas, Santa Fe Desert Chorale in New Mexico, and Seraphic Fire in Miami, Florida. Appearances as chorister and soloist with the New York Philharmonic Orchestra, American Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra of St. Luke’s, American Classical Orchestra, Pacific Symphony, to name a few. Some recent performance highlights include soloist in Bach’s Mass in B Minor, Mozart Requiem, Rossini’s Stabat Mater, the operatic roles of L’arbre/Fauteuil (L’Enfant et les sortilèges), Collatinus (Rape of Lucretia), Lorenzo (I Capuleti e I Montecchi).
