Haley Mason Andres (she/her) was named a Watson Fellow in 2014, embarking on a full year of solo travel, during which she explored the varied ways art making is utilized in healing practices around the globe. Through stops in Bolivia, The United Kingdom, Tanzania, Japan, Thailand, and Australia, Haley partnered with local institutions to research the impacts of art therapy and other creative healing practices as a trauma treatment for sexual and domestic assault victims, rehab attendees, natural disaster survivors, and other people affected by traumatic circumstance. This life-altering work led Haley to pursue a career in non-profit/community arts engagement. Broadly, her work seeks to ensure individuals and communities have access to creativity and expression.

Haley has worked for arts and education non-profits, including UrbanGlass and The Posse Foundation. She is currently the Institutional Giving Manager at Mark Morris Dance Group, managing a portfolio of relationships with foundation, government, and corporate funders. Haley is proud to be a working group member of the Cultural Solidarity Fund.

Haley holds Bachelor of Arts summa cum laude from University of Puget Sound, with dual focus in Psychology and Studio Art, as well as an Executive Certificate in Arts and Culture Strategy from the University of Pennsylvania. She lives in Trenton, NJ with her wife and dog.
