
Mica Bernas
Mica Bernas (she/her/hers) is a dancer and educator whose teaching draws on over two decades of professional performance experience. A former member of the Mark Morris Dance Group from 2017 to 2026, she performed nationally and internationally. Originally from Manila, Philippines, she trained at the Cultural Center of the Philippines Dance School before joining Ballet Philippines, where she rose from the corps de ballet to Soloist. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Communication from De La Salle University. Since relocating to New York, she has performed with Carolyn Dorfman Dance, the Limón Dance Company, Gallim Dance, and Connecticut Ballet, and worked with choreographers Karole Armitage and Marta Renzi. In the studio, she has taught all levels of ballet and modern dance — from after school programs to pre-professional training and master classes — at institutions including the Limón Institute and BIMA at Brandeis University.
